Karen Scott, MEd, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC

Karen is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator and Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based by the American Health Information Management Association and a Certified Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders.

She is the owner of Karen Scott Seminars and Consulting in Memphis, Tennessee.

Karen is well-known throughout the country for her training expertise in coding, medical terminology, compliance and Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APCs) for both hospital and physician practices. She is past-president of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association (THIMA) and Arkansas HIMA, and past-president of the AHIMA Council on Certification.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Record Administration and a Masters Degree of Education in Instructional Technology from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
